Classification
Students are ranked according to credits earned, as follows:
5.25 credits = Sophomore
10.5 credits = Junior
15.75 credits = Senior
Grading Scale(s)
Students receive a grade for each of their classes four times a
school year. Beginning with the class of 2008, students will be
assessed on a weighted grading scale.
The class of 2008 and beyond will be based on this
weighted scale:
4.3 A+ 98-100%
4.0 A 95-97%
3.7 A- 92-94%
3.3 B+ 89-91%
3.0 B 86-88%
2.7 B- 83-85%
2.3 C+ 80-82%
2.0 C 77-79%
1.7 C- 74-76%
1.3 D+ 71-73%
1.0 D 68-70%
0.7 D- 65-67%
Graduation Requirements
To receive a diploma from Clinton-Massie High School, students need
to earn 21 credits and pass all components of the
Ohio Ninth-Grade Proficiency Test and/or Ohio Graduation Test. Academic
requirements include:
English Language Arts - 4 credits
Science - 3 credits
Social Studies - 3 credits
Health/P.E. - 1 credit
Mathematics - 3 credits
*Electives - 7 credits
*At least one elective must be a fine art, business/technology,
or foreign language.
