Student Handbook PDF Print E-mail

Welcome to Clinton-Massie High School!  A new school year presents opportunities for various beginnings; new classes, new faces, and new materials. This handbook contains important information to assist you in knowing and understanding the many policies, procedures, rules, and regulations that will affect you on a daily basis.  It has been prepared in hopes that it may clarify any questions you may have concerning Clinton-Massie High School.  Read all items carefully and ask about anything that is not clear to you.

For our parents and guardians, we believe establishing a relationship with family members is an important component of a successful high school experience for our students. We want to establish a collaborative spirit between you and CMHS for the common goals of student learning development and success. We value you as a partner in your student’s educational process.  I encourage you and your student to become involved in both the curricular and extracurricular activities of our school.

For some, coming to high school is a big step and we recognize the investment this requires as a student and as a parent or family member. Students often face challenges which may overwhelm or confuse them as they encounter periods of growth, self-reflection, and independence.  Parents and family members can often make such obstacles easier to overcome. CMHS is committed to working with you so that your student will learn to access appropriate resources independently in order to be successful.

As a student, take pride in your work and in the work of others, attend school regularly, and respect the rights of others.  The behavioral expectations outlined in the handbook apply any time you are under the jurisdiction of the school: at school, on the bus, or at school-sponsored activities.  Our goal is to maintain an atmosphere of respect and responsibility in which learning can take place.

Currently, the CMHS web site http://www.clinton-massie.k12.oh.us/ is designed to be your main source for information.  This will serve as your medium for communication to publish news and appropriate information on a timely basis.  I want to ensure that you have the information to connect you to valuable notices, events, resources and services which facilitate your involvement in the high school environment.
